So last week we posted a quick, "What is reiki" and explained some of the ideas behind Usui reiki.
We thought about it and thought that we should give a little bit of lovin' to our other 2 reiki types to explain more about them.
So, with all reiki - lineage is important. It shows training and if a master cannot provide you with details on the lineage they have, we would recommend you seek a master who can show you that way you know you're getting trained by someone who is truly knowledgeable not someone who is just looking to make a quick buck. THIS OPINION IS OURS AND OURS ALONE. OTHERS MAY DISAGREE - which is fine but like with all things, a cheap teacher can become an expensive lesson.
Karuna Ki reiki (also known as Sai Baba reiki) has symbols and they are sacred - just like Usui reiki but Karuna Ki uses more compassion and loving based energy; using the connection to compassionate energies to assist in bringing in a sense of peace, well being and safety. Depending on the ailment or reason for coming to a Karuna Ki reiki session (in person or distance) will depend on the symbol the practitioner or master chooses to use during the several aspects of Karuna Ki reiki. The aspects include sessions, toning (or chanting) and meditation.
Unlike Usui reiki which is connected directly to the energies, Karuna Ki can be used by calling upon guides for connection to the compassion based energies. Guides are very personal and will work with you in their own ways. Some people will have animal guides, others will have angels, or arch angels, some may even have what are called Ascended masters as guides when using Karuna Ki reiki. The guides you have will work with you in each session and should be called upon when using karuna ki.
It should be noted, reiki does NOT hold religion, it is NOT a religion, it is NOT a belief system - It is for EVERYONE regardless of age, gender, belief system, religion, etc. Anyone can use it, anyone can receive it, and anyone can benefit from the wonderful relaxing effects of reiki energies.
While we understand that the information we're giving here is very vague and just giving a general picture - We don't want to overwhelm like the internet tends to do for many things, or take away from the sacredness of the reiki training we provide but we are happy to answer any questions you may have as we're just posting very vague information about the reiki energies we work with.
